"How long will it take?" is one of the first questions every business owner asks a web designer. The honest answer: it depends on the size of the website and, even more, on how quickly the content and feedback come together. Here is a realistic timeline.
Typical timelines
| Website | Typical scope | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Start | 1–3 pages, Google Business Profile setup | about 1 week |
| Business | up to 8 pages, booking and forms, Czech and English | 2–3 weeks |
| E-shop | everything in Business plus an online shop | around 4 weeks |
These are the timelines for our web design in Prague packages, counted from the moment we have your texts and photos.
The stages of a website project
1. Consultation and planning (1–3 days)
We learn about your business, customers and goals, and agree the pages, features and price in writing.
2. Content (depends on you)
Texts, photos, prices, opening hours, team details. This is where most projects slow down. If you are not sure what to write, we help structure it and you fill in the facts.
3. Design (a few days)
We design the homepage and key pages. You review the design and request changes before development starts.
4. Build (a few days to two weeks)
We build the approved design, add booking or contact forms, a second language or an online shop, and make everything fast on phones.
5. Review and launch (1–3 days)
You test the website, we make agreed changes, connect the domain and launch. We also link the site from your Google Business Profile.
What slows a website down
- Waiting for texts and photos
- Many people giving feedback at different times
- Changing the scope after the design is approved
- Domain or hosting access that nobody can find
How to launch faster
- Collect your texts and photos before the project starts
- Choose one person to give feedback
- Approve the design before the build begins
- Find your domain login early
